BeXtrifit offers coaching in all three disciplines of Triathlon including Swim, bike and run sessions as well as strength and conditioning sessions. All of the sessions are designed with triathletes in mind, but are suitable for all abilities and welcome complete beginners to elite athletes. We are passionate about creating sessions to enable athletes to maximise their potential and achieve their goals.
Below is a summary of what we offer:
You don’t just have to be a triathlete or aspiring to do a triathlon to join us! We have sessions in each of the disciplines so you can join us for the bits you like! We are a very supportive and friendly group and are happy to help with any aspects of triathlon training. There are a few events each year that we try and attend together and we regularly update what races are coming up so people can link up if they are doing the same race. To help with completing a triathlon, we offer sessions throughout the year to help with some of the aspects of a triathlon that can often be overlooked such as transition skills and what to expect on your first triathlon.
We offer swim sessions for both novices and more experienced swimmers. The pool swims are currently all based at Chesham Moor Gym and Swim, which is a fantastic heated open air pool. The water is warm enough to swim all year round, but wetsuits are optional in the winter.
We offer the following swim sessions:
- Beginner swim courses (6 weeks)
- Swim sessions for intermediates and advanced swimmers
- Open water Sessions
- 1-1 sessions
We currently run two indoor cycle sessions and run outdoor rides in the summer. The sessions are suitable for all abilities and an ideal way to increase your bike fitness. Our sessions are designed for all abilities and currently offer couch to 5km sessions along side our regular run sessions. The runs are suitable for all and normally based on Chesham Moor or the local paths, providing safe runs which everyone can participate in.
Strength and Conditioning
Strength and conditioning sessions are important to improve muscular strength and endurance which can lead to better performance and reduce the risk of injury. Using a mixture of body weight exercises and functional fitness equipment such as kettlebells and battle ropes, these sessions will work the whole body and is suitable for all abilities. The sessions are open to triathletes and those who just want to increase their strength and muscle tone.
We have teamed up with JJP Training to work with clients from a whole range of backgrounds and ability levels and always meet up for a friendly chat before any exercise takes place. This means we can establish the right routine for you. We have both a male and female trainer as we understand it is important to be working with someone you feel comfortable with.
Online coaching is perfect if you need a bit of guidance on how to structure your training and improve your performance during the season. We feel that working with the individual is key so offer a flexible approach and can work with you to achieve your goals. There are several different options available and we are happy to work with everyone from Elites to Beginners.
Couch 2 Tri
If you are interested in taking part in a triathlon and would like a structured plan, we offer a 12 week “Couch to Tri” programme designed to take beginners through from the start of their journey to their first sprint triathlon.
Want to train in the sunshine? We have several tri camps each year to help banish the winter blues and get in some quality training. The camps are have specific aims including fitness, swim and triathlon depending on which one you chose. The majority of our camps are based at the stunning Sands Beach resort in Lanzarote which offers a fantastic range of facilities for everyone including families.
There are also Tri-days which are UK Based and normally cover specific triathlon training over 1 or 2 days.
